Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. Her most well-known work is the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of sixteen, she had been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominees featuring female stars. Alexandra is well known for her involvement in many notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. They comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French historic miniseries Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
