Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the only child to Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she turned 16. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film), was critically and highly rated commercially. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra has been involved in numerous important international and national projects throughout her career. They comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French historical miniseries Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
